one last wave, a goodbye

After 4 years of staying in UST, I think I have established a good relationship with a lot of people and a tight bond with a lot of places around the school. I have been introduced to a lot of people and a lot of places for the past 4 years that I think it really saddens me to think that I have to leave school and leave everything for good. I would just want to extend my thanks to some people and to some places for making everything possible, for helping me survive, love and miss college life. And okay, miss UST.

ENGLAND.
(From right to left me)

1. I thank myself for being very responsible. I may be drunk most of the time but I never ever took my studies for granted. Okay that's all thanks.

2. Sabrina Sevilla. We may have had misunderstandings later this year, but I am happy that we made it through. Thank you for the random sleepovers and the corned beef breakfasts and the fun memories. We may have our new drinking buddies, but hell yeah we're still the original! I'll never forget finishing your TicTacs. I love you Doo!

3. Eliza Teh. No one words can explain how lucky I am to have you as a friend. You have always been there for me. Through good and bad times. You were always there when I needed someone to talk to and when I needed company, you know afternoon sessions. Thank you for keeping everything that is supposed to be kept! And for the nail polishes that you have been providing me, just so I would look a bit like a lady. HAHA

4. Gen Abad. You never gave up on me. I know. You were there and you were always there. From moments when I felt bliss and to the moments where in I felt like crap. Spiritually, emotionally, and fuck yeah financially you were always there. I love you bestest bud. It only takes effort, bro! Effort!

5. Paula Gatchalian. For these past months we have oh so inseparable. And thank you for always being there :) The afternoon sessions and the endless heart to heart talks. And no doubt that I'll always be coming home to Antipolo after a night of heavy drinking and drinking. Thank you for the sleepovers! You will always be that person who saw me kneeling on the long streets of Cubao! LOL

6. Danna Endozo. I don't know what to say or how I'm gonna say everything. But yeah, you were the fun time friend. Everything stupid I did was with you. Not to mention the fact that you were always the last person I see and the person to bring me back home to the dorm. Although we had some conflicts, still we realized that nothing can break this friendship. Or maybe it'll take forever to break this frienship.

I love you guys. Can't wait for Pagudpud.

SLEEPYHEAD.

since our graduation was scheduled in the morning,we had all the time to spend the rest of the afternoon with our respective families. and I was suppose to have the time to rest since I woke up at 3 in the morning. But then again, sucks to be an internet  junkie. Which is why I'm calling myself the sleepy head!

I travelled from Makati going to Santolan Station (LRT2) to meet Gatch and to directly go to Eastwood for England's chill drinking. We stationed in G8 cause Distillery's already full. Damn.

Located in Eastwood City, Libis.

Check out how sleep I am. Gah.

That's Picture # 1. Yes, i know.

The Bacc Mass is our school's tradition where in Graduating Students for that yea were given special treatment by the means of a very good Mass, pre Program which consists of the parade and the introduction of colors, and the post program which consists of fireworks (that's for our case because we were Quadricentennial grads!)

The day started at 3pm where in we assembled for the last time and sat for the last time inside the 4 walls of the classrooms of Albertus Magnus Building. We were assisted by one of the greatest professors, Prof. Naverra for Developmental Reading A.

This is the classroom's situation because we were oh so jolly and oh so excited of the day's event. Fuck yeah it's the last time that we be standing and sitting in these four-walls. We've got swords. I know. It's malabo. But the college's theme is about victory. So I guess they came up with swords built in with sounds. :/

By 3:45 pm we had to assemble outside the AM Building for the pre-program which consists of the parade and the introduction of colleges and their respective colors. This is how crazzzyy we are!

We be samurai.

With our ex block mate, Luis Tutaan. We started making fail comments because of the heat of the sun and the delayed start of the program. Really, ust. Do you have to be like this all the time.

One last shot with our Department Chairman, Asst. Prof. Maripia Rabacal.

See how the sunlight fucks my face. That's why I'm friggin black, bros!

On our way to the Grand Stand for the Mass and the program. Fuck the heat, srsly. It was 4 in the afternoon and we were soaking under the sun. We only had one umbrella, thanks to Gen!

Bad Vibes. Ultra bad vibes.

By the time the mass ended, it was already 6:30 or 7pm. It was great because the sun was gone and it the weather was already tolerable. Then and there, the fun started and everyone turned into wild beings!

Yes. It was a thumbs-up for the night's event. It was the best feeling any Thomasian could ever feel! We were Quadri Graduates bro!

The smile shows!

Every year, UST showcases Pyromusical during Paskuhan. We were clearly disappointed on the outcome of the presentation last December due to the small amount of time and the "low-budget" fireworks that were presented. But then we realized, everything happens for a reason. The big bang fireworks during that night, March 25, 2011 was a blast. That was why they showed fugly fireworks during the Paskuhan, they spent a huge amount of Pesos for the Bacc Mass Fireworks! It was all too great!

UST PyroMusical Bacc Mass 2011

After the fireworks, we were now required to exit the Arch of The Centuries. The tradition goes like this: When you are a freshman, you have this thing called Freshmen Walk, where in you have to parade around the university and then you have to enter this beautiful ancient Arch of The Centuries. This one's since 1611!

Arch of The Centuries. Established 1611.

Then, when your last year comes and you survived the 4 years of hardwork and beer, you are now given the permission to exit this Arch in any way possible. Run, jump, shout, even give everyone the middle finger! LOL

It was the sweetest goodbye :)

While we recited the Thomasian Pledge.

Preparing to exit the Arch. Everyone's just too exhausted from the fun and ofcourse, the epic fireworks.

Good blockmates with the best professor ever, Dr. Felipe Balingit, Ph.D. You will always live on. Thanks for the mind-fucking journals. It has taught us well.

My favorite girls. Doo's nowhere to be found!

And ofcourse, a goodbye party is never a goodbye party without booze and smokes! We had our last block party in Lauren Carpio's house located in Algeciras Sobriedad, Manila. And we called it, ROCK THE MIGHTY RILES PARTY :)

Half of the class. Everyone else was inside, also drinking and singing.

we were just so happy!

the legendary Gin Relay. This caused the friggin hangover the next day.

The bestest friend the drunkest among the rest for that night.

Everybody say FUCK YEAH!

the long lost member of England :)

We tend to do crazy things. Just like this.

Steady drunk. Groggy eyes. OMG. It's fucking me!

and now, literally drunk!

10 Things To Do Before You Sleep:

  1. Last general check up on all the social networks that you belong to.
  2. Watch Nat Geo! It's the only channel I'd want to fall asleep watching. Atleast the last picture on your mind's gonna be very educational. I have a point.
  3. Think of the events that happened during the day. And think of all the things that fucked you up.
  4. Pray. Ask God's guidance for tomorrow. Thank Him for everything. Tell him what you have in mind and what do you want to happen.
  5. Turn on your ipod to your favorite playlist.
  6. Daydream while listening to the airwaves. The best feeling!
  7. Watch Nat Geo while listening to your IPOD. It's called multi-tasking, bitch!
  8. Watch Nat Geo
  9. Try closing your eyes.
  10. Turn of your ipod.
Goodnight bitches. Sleep like a boss.

Sunday 12:18am

Finally arrived home from a 1 bucket session with my bros, Marion, Miguel and MJ (the friggin gay). It was all too random considering the fact that the whole MOA plan was cancelled due to the condition of my brother's wife/girlfriend. Just when the clock striked 9pm, everything changed. I was like BOOM when I heard my brother saying "let's go". Anyway, we had to run some errands for my mom. We bought 3 dozens of Krispy Kreme for her to be brought home to Bacolod. But then again, we never forgot about alcohol. Yeah, Gweilos is the best place to be. Just second place. The first one goes to Tiendesitas ofcourse where you can get the cheapest bucket of beer only for 180php. Okay. Stop promoting.

yup and this is where we spend most of our random days. At times it sucks being here because you have to hear bands that play R n B songs. Sucks bigtime, I know. But i guess it only takes "sanayan" just so you could be comfortable drinking here. It's located in Upper Ground floor of MOA facing San Miguel Bay just beside Tia Maria's and Marina. A bucket of beer did great for us though.

And it's a goodnight for the mighty might sleepyhead, me.

After 4 years of hardwork and beer

After 4 years of sleepless nights, countless school shits, heavy drinking due to stress, mind-fucking journals, DSM-IV blues, thesis errors, paper pencil trauma, finally, it has come to an end. Last April 1, 2011, we finally had our last goodbye with our college degree and with our alma mater, University of Santo Tomas. We were advised to assemble at 6am in PICC located in Roxas Boulevard Manila. Imagine how down my system was waking up 3am in the morning just so I could fix myself, and iron my toga and my white uniform. But it was all worth it. The glory in my eyes, and the happiness in my parents' faces were all worth the sacrifices that I have made for the past 4 years. Literally, sacrifices.

UST College of Education SPED 2011. Half of the class were present in this picture. Half were everywhere. It was the most overwhelming moment of anyone's life!

While waiting for the marching ceremony, we managed to take photos of ourselves wearing this huge toga! We looked like we were wearing outfits from Harry Potter! But it feels good wearing this horrible thing, anyways.
